The Project
Digi & Handy is an Erasmus+ project (2024–2026) focused on digitizing and preserving endangered crafts across Europe. With the rise of digital tools, many traditional handicrafts risk being forgotten. Our goal is to create an accessible learning environment where artisans and educators can acquire digital skills to document, promote, and revitalize these crafts.
By combining traditional expertise with modern digital solutions, Digi & Handy ensures the continuity and promotion of artisanal skills in the digital age.
The project aims to identify and document endangered crafts through a transnational inventory while also providing training for adult
educators and cultural professionals on the use of digital tools in craftsmanship. It includes the development of a multilingual e-learning platform with courses dedicated to the digitalization of traditional crafts, ensuring long-term access to learning resources for artisans and learners.
Digi & Handy is funded by the European Union, designed and developed in collaboration by four partner organizations from three European countries: Turkey, Bulgaria, and Italy. The promoting organizations include Çine Halk Eğitim Merkezi in Turkey, UNPLI Lazio and SPEHA Fresia SC in Italy and the Centre for Education, Research and Innovations (CERI) in Bulgaria.
This initiative fosters cross-cultural cooperation and innovation. By bringing together diverse expertise and perspectives from these three countries, it seeks to create a rich learning environment that promotes knowledge exchange and the sharing of best practices in an increasingly digital world.
